By Air
El Nuevo Dorado International Airport is located about thirteen kilometers northeast of the city. It has two active runways, at a parallel distance, as well as state of the art technological media for aero navigation safety, giving it the proper classification. All types of known airplanes can operate in its runways. There are two main blocks.
The Puente Aereo terminal where the AVIANCA-TACA airlines operate for their domestic flights and El Nuevo Dorado terminal, one kilometer from each other, where the totality of the international companies operate and the national companies, with the exception of AVIANCA-TACA . Inside El Dorado there are two tourist information desks located in the international platform which orient the users between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. telephone numbers 425-1000 ext. 2156 and in the national platform, telephone number 425-1000 ext. 2155. At one side of the luggage reception area, there is a luggage deposit.
There are international flights for all Central American countries, the United States of America, Canada, as well as South America, the Caribbean Islands and Europe.
Connections can be made from El Nuevo Dorado to the most of the countries regions through multiple flights. An airport fee must be paid and it is canceled with the ticket.

The cost of a trip by taxi cab between the airport and some destination inside the city or viceversa could vary between US$15.00 and US$20.00, according to the distance. You can also get to the airport by buses or mini-buses which run along Calle 26 and their fare does not exceed US$0.90.

By Land
These are places where all the inter-municipal bus fleets arrive or depart, on long or medium journeys, towards all the places in the country and in South America (through “Ormeño” Company and others that have international agreements). The central terminal (diagonal 23 N. 69-11) is the headquarters for more than 50 transportation companies. This terminal has a functional structure that serves as an introduction to a more pleasing journey, since it offers almost all the basic services required by the travelers, such as hygienic bathroomes, restaurants, cafeterias, souvenir boutiques, casinos and temporary storage lockers for your luggage.
It is organized in embarkation modules (some of them with VIP attention for some companies) and for the sellin of tickets. They are identified by colors according to the route and the destination.
Even though they stared operating recently, the growth of the city originated the start of operations at the South Terminal, located in Bosa, for the south and southwest routes and the North Satellite, where the vehicles are stationed (North Portal of Transmilenio system), heade towards some towns in the north of the city, or the departments of Boyacá, Santander and North of Santander.
You can travel from the extreme south, west or east, multi-modally, acrosss the Transmilenio system, even from the Nort Portal itself
Some transportation media for neighboring towns depart from different places in the city; for example, Avenida Chile, to reach towns in the east, or from the calle 80 Portal of transmilenio System, to be transported towards the west or northwest.
