Virgilio Barco Public Library Bogotá Colombia – Bogotá Tourism Guide

The Virgilio Barco Library is housed in a circular brick structure surrounded by multiple bodies of water. It was designed by architect Rogelio Salmona, who was born in Paris in 1929 but was always considered to be Colombian.

Virgilio Barco Public Library, the architectural wonder, surrounded by mirrors of water and small waterfalls, has a varied sample of documentary, audio and visual archives, as well as being a space dedicated to art, literature and research, Thanks to its unique design, conceived by the master Rogelio Salmona, it utilizes natural light which filters through each of its comers, making it an even more pleasant environ-tnent to enjoy its quiet spaces, which are ideal for creativity and learning.
