Bogota is a cosmopolitan city and the gateway to South America. The luxury and executive hotels are mainly to be found between calles 100 and 127, in El Chico, Zona Rosa, and Avenida Chile in the north; in the International Center and in avenida/calle 19; in the calle 26: El Salitre and in La Candelaria in the Historic Center There are tourist-class hotels in all parts of the city. In Chapinero, Teusaquillo, and La Candelaria there are also simple pension style accommodations and furnished apartments, at economical rates.
