Regional Dress Museum originally belonged to Bolivar’s companion, Manuelita Saenz. Since 1972 it has been a museum of indigenous and regional dresses. The display of textiles and designs shows the evolution of tradition since the earliest times, in cloth, embroidery, hats, looms, and baskets. There are precolumbian fabrics, indigenous textiles, and contemporary craft products, all related to popular clothing and accessories. The museum offers weaving courses and workshops, and a travelling exhibition of a museum sample to other places in the country and abroad.
