Surrounded by several restaurants and stores resides a little dog park home to a statue with an interesting history.

Parque del Perro (Dog Park) is located in the San Fernando district, the dog park is an important economic point of the city for its gastronomic show and the amount of shops and boutiques of the place. The park owes its name to a dog called “Teddy” who in the 1950s always followed a group of boys while they performed various activities until one day the dog bit a boy in the group and this one in vengeance poisoned him. Director of the police Víctor Alberto Delgado Mallarino who at that time was older and who was a member of the group of boys with whom Teddy used to walk.
