At the end of the Plaza de la Aduana, is the Plaza San Pedro Claver, a small square dominated by the Sanctuary, Museum and Church of Saint Peter Claver.
A Selection of iron sculptures, among which the sculpture of San Pedro Claver (St. Peter Claver) stands out, adorn the building of the historic center of Cartagena and are part of the charm of the Plaza de San Pedro Claver (St. Peter Claver Square), a space which is full of light and color. Relieve the history of this jesuit missionary who the square was named after, who thanks to his vocation to service was known as “the slave of the slaves”. The Templo y Casa Museo San Pedro Claver (St. Peter Claver temple and House Museum) is located here where you’ll find valuable pieces of religious art, paintings and sculptures, many of them honoring the life of the Saint.
