Museum Of The Fortifications (Museo de las Fortificaciones) is Located in the baluarte de Santa Catalina (bastion of St. Catalina) this museum contains interesting information about the fortifications and walls of the city, how they were built and their importance in the sixteenth and seventeenth century Cartagena. The passages that make up part of the walled fortifications, the cistern that supplied water to the inhabitants of the city and the imposing bastions are all explained int detail for visitors to the Museo de las Fortificaciones (Museum Of The Fortifications).
