Built in the style of 18th and 19th century European opera houses, the Teatro Heredia officially known as Teatro Adolfo Mejia was built in a horseshoe shape, with boxes and balconies divided by cedar lace-like lattices.

Adolfo Mejía Theater, formerly called the “Teatro Heredia (Heredia Theater)”, is the most representative and important auditorium of the city, being the place where hundreds of artist have performed and left their cultural legacy.The theater has 3 levels, marble stairs, a baccarat crystal chandelier and a surrealist curtain created by the master Enrique Grau.
