an Andres belongs to one of the most beautiful places in South America And even though it is a small island there many awesome unique things to do in San Andres Colombia.

In the island of San Andrés five beach sectors are recognized, four of them are divided into 21 segments between the north and the east of the main island and one corresponds to the island of Johnny Cay. Currently, they are about 7 km of white sand beaches with pink tones.

The main beach areas are Spratt Bight to the north, Rocky Cay and Sound Bay to the east and the area between the Decameron San Luis hotel, towards the Tom Hooker, Elsy Bar sectors in the southeast. In addition, it has small beaches embedded between diverse landscapes, among which are the west of Sarie Bay between the emerged coral terrace, the beach between mangrove zones in the area of the Decameron Mar Azul hotel and Yellow Moon sector in the terraces of San Luis, among others.

Rocky Cay – San Andres Colombia

Rocky Cay beach has a length of 790 m, located at the point formed towards the cay to which it owes its name, on the east side of the island. This is a beach that is located to the east of the island and goes in a north-south direction, with certain variations: in the north it goes in a southeast direction and closes against a reef terrace, from there the direction of the beach changes and the amplitude increases towards the southwest.

Johnny Cay is a small island located to the northeast of San Andrés with a perimeter of 750 m. The beach sector develops towards the south (490 m), while to the north, east and west is exposed the marine terrace (260 m).

Charquitos – San Andres Colombia

One of the quietest beaches on the island is on the southern tip. We recommend these families with children, seniors and travelers in general who want to enjoy the sea in peace.

Thanks to the offshore reefs, the current is slowed down and the waves break early.
