Choachí is a municipality and town of Colombia in the Eastern Province of the department of Cundinamarca. The municipality borders La Calera in the north, Ubaque in the south, in the east Fómeque and westward of Choachí is the Colombian capital Bogotá. The town centre is located at 38 kilometres (24 mi) from the centre of the capital. Within the boundaries of Choachí the Páramo de Cruz Verde is situated.

The town has become a popular tourist resort thanks to its hot springs and ist proximity to the capital of the republic, at only 39 kilomenters from Bogotá. it has a peasant cliemate with an average temperature of 18°c.
Among its attractions are the Páramo de Cruz Verde (Green Cross), La chorrera and the Termal Santa Monica (Santa Monica Thermal Springs), the latter being a center for tourism with the most modern spa infrastructure in Cundinamarca.

How to get to Choachi Cundinamarca
If you are in the city of Bogota, you can take Calle 7 in the west-east direction, through the Nariño Palace (Cra 7 with Clle 7), as if you take the Circunvalar Way in north-south direction, Either of these two options, you arrive at the “Rumichaca” Market Square, located in the Egypt Quarter (Cra 3 East with Clle 7). At this point, continue south to take the Clle 6 East (on the left) to the Cra 9 East, exit that will take you to the road that takes you to the Municipality of Choachí.
Climate
The climate in Choachí is mostly temperate, but it has different thermal scales that oscillate between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius, the height is between 1560 msnm to 3600 msnm. Choachí is one of the only municipalities near Bogota where you can feel the cold of the Paramo of Matarredonda at 3600 masl, also the temperate climate of the urban center of Choachí to 1927 msnm, and the warm climate on the white river to 1560 msnm.
