Board-walk (Malecon) in Quibdo is the perfect place to watch the sunset over the Atrato River. It is located opposite the Cathedral and Centennial Park. Nowadays it offers a recreation space for local families and visitors.
Centennial Park the Liberator. First it was called Plaza de la Iglesia and around it the city and its residential, administrative and public areas grew. In 1910, it was inaugurated as Independence Park. For many years it was the center of Quibdose’s social life and for its elegance it was ideal for holding meetings, events and other celebrations. In September 2002 it was declared heritage property of Quibdó by the Governorate of Chocó and is now a place of recreation for children and adults.
