Getting to Medellin By Air
The Enrique Olaya Herrera Airport is located in the capital city of Antioquia, which offers national and regional flights by carriers including Satena.
There is also the Jose Maria Cordova International Airport in Rionegro which serves domestic and international flights. Some of the airlines that travel to and from Medellin are: AviancaTaca, Copa Airlines, LAN Colombia and ADA, to the southeast of downtown Medellin (29 km).
Getting to Medellin By Road
If you are traveling from Bogota take the calle 80 (autopista Medellin) that connects with the road that passes through Villeta, Honda and La Dorada. From Manizales you take the road through La Pintada, Santa Barbara and Itagüí, From the Atlantic Coast, the recommended route is Cartagena to Sincelejo and from Cucuta or Bucaramanga the best route is through Puerto Berrio. There are two terminals in Medellin located in the north and south of the city.
