Minor Basilica of Our Lady Candelaria ( This national monument) can be found in the city center opposite parque Berrio (Berrio park). The neo-classical style church dates from 1767 and was restored between 1993 and 1997 by the Fundación Ferrocarril de Antioquia (Railway Foundation of Antioquia), it has important works of religious art on display deluding the oil painting of the Virgen de .a Candelaria (Virgin of Candelaria) dating back to Spanish colonial times and donated by the Queen consort of Spain, Mariana of Austria.
