The church of San Laureano originates in 1778 when it took place the extinction of the indigenous reservation of Bucaramanga and it conforms like Parish. The building we know today is not the same one that was initially built, as three buildings have been erected on the same site.
The church of San Laureano was proposed as Monument Nation in the decade of 1980, but still has not managed to have such recognition, but at the moment it is included within the Goods of Cultural Interest of the Department of Santander.
