The house that today is known as “Casa Luis Peru de la Croix” was also known for some time as the “Casa Mutis.” It originated in the year 1778, when Manuel Mutis Bossio sent to To build a house in the place where the current structure is located, in the south-east corner of the Custodio García Rovira Park, near the church of San Laureano.
It is recognized as one of the few buildings that have survived in Bucaramanga since colonial times. Witnessing countless events in the history of Bucaramanga, the building is currently a landmark in the center of the city.
