The Bicentennial Bridge (informally known as the Viaduct of Carrera 9a). It will be located in Bucaramanga, northeastern Colombia. It will be a cable-stayed bridge that will connect the sectors of Calle 45 with 9a and Ciudadela de Minas, construction scheduled to last between 18 and 22 months but is still under construction (February 2014). The length of the bridge will be 550 Meters, has 2 concrete pillars 130 meters high and its board will be 30 meters wide.
The Bicentennial Bridge was pre-designed by the engineer Alfredo Santander Palacios. The final design to be built was made by the prestigious Spanish company, Carlos Fernández Casado, S.L. Project Office. The tender for its construction was won by the International Consortium Viaduct Carrera Novena, this consortium is made up of Sig Southwestern International Group S.A. Of Colombia and Mexicana de Presfuerzo S.A. Of CV (MEXPRESA), of Mexico.
