One of the best places for windsurfing in the country, is in the Valle del Cauca, on Lake Calima, municipality of El Darien, where winds 365 days a year.
Windsurfing arises from the combination of two sports (surfing and sailing), and is slipping with a table on the sea, using the propulsion of a candle with wind energy. Some variations of this sport can be practiced, depending on the level of the person or team command, you can go fast, doing stunts and jumps.
Colombia has several perfect spots for windsurfing. On the Caribbean coast you can practice in Cartagena, Barranquilla and close to Cabo de la Vela. Near Cali, on Lake Calima. And near Bogota, in the dam Tominé. San Andres Island, is also a stage for windsurfing.
