Tires. In the park there are only old tires, full of cement. They are on the floor, getting in the way, surrounding everything: the playgrounds, the kiosks, the benches, the locomotive and the fall of the sliders that come out of the plane door.
Parque del Avion (the Plane’s Park) was inaugurated in 1987 after Colombian-Cuban journalist José Pardo Llada traveled to cities such as Buenos Aires or New York where he noted that the parks had small planes on display. Back in the city the journalist asked his friend General Omar Torrijos Herrera for help, he sent a real plane to the airport of Palmaseca, which was then installed in the place where he is today after leaving only the facade and adjusting it as cinema . It was remodeled in 2010 becoming the “Recreation Unit the Plane Park” including in the surroundings several soccer, basketball and volleyball courts, as well as swimming pools.
