Without a doubt, this is one of the best open-air activities that you can do in Cali. The Pance River, named after the mountain where it rises, is located outside the city and has been a favourite place with the locals to commune with Mother Nature; and with good reason, as the landscapes along its 25 kilometre length are absolutely fascinating, unspoiled and full of life.

Pance is located at the southern end of the City of Santiago de Cali, on the eastern slope of the Western Cordillera, offers great attractions to the visitor. The crystalline Waters of the Pance River and its tributaries, its Fauna and Flora, the different sites and ecotourism trails make this a place to go, enjoy and return.

Formerly populated by Panci or Pance in the river basin, decimated with the arrival of the Spanish, today it is inhabited by a hospital community, coming from different departments of the southwestern Colombian.

The Pance River Route demarcates the center of the area to which tributaries, tracks, sites and ecotourism trails converge. The visitor will find a great variety of Flora and Fauna, in an environment that goes from the formation of TROPICAL JUNGLE LOWLANDS in the Vortex to 1,100 meters above sea level, passing through the SUBANDINE JUNGLE in the village of Pance a 1,550 meters above sea level and by the Andean jungle in Pico de Loro at 2,800 meters above sea level, to the environment of PARAMO in Pico Peak at 4,100 meters above sea level.

Pance is located at a height of 1,100 meters above sea level on the banks of the Pance River and inhabited by approximately 200 people is the main natural spa in the Municipal area of ​​Cali. The maximum temperature is 36 degrees and minimum of 13 degrees.
