Cathedral of Our Lady of Poverty (Catedral de Nuestra Señora de la Pobreza) is one of the main buildings in Pereira because of its architectural and historical value and because is is a symbol of the growth and development of the city. This religious icon, dedicated to the virgin Mary under the title of Nuestra Señora de la Pobreza (Our Lady of Poverty) is a complex structure composed of 13.000 pieces of wood and 240.000 bricks and has religious monuments which adorn its interior.
